Blog Consulting SEO – Part 1
ByI thought we should begin a more intense discussion about search engine optimization here on Blog Consulting. The reason for the discussions are primarily selfish, this site is really hard to keep moving in the right direction. The biggest problem is that the competition for the keyword is very good about getting their sites ranked. It is what they do. Some of them have Wordpress themes they have developed which causes them to have thousand upon thousands of links to their site. That makes getting on page 1 a huge feat. However, if you can crack page 1, it demonstrates an ability to work with SEO procedures.
This site has been holding pretty steady on page 2 but has started moving in a backward direction. Part of the problem is most likely content. I am busy developing a lot of other sites right now and I don’t spend enough time writing content for this site. On the plus side, the sites I am developing will all eventually point links at this site so there is a bit of a trade off. I really don’t want the site to move completely off of page 2 however, so I will have to make a point of writing fresh content at least once a week.
I will attempt to do this using my site maintenance category. This category allows me to write without including the article on the front page. While the article still needs to have merit, it doesn’t have to be as polished as a front page article. If you want to write Site Maintenance articles you need to remember to stay on topic. Since this site is about blog consulting, I can write about what is happening on the site and still be writing relevant content. To make your site maintenance articles are effective always be sure to try and write at least three hundred words.
